About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

About the role

The Student Midwife's role will be to implement, evaluate, and maintain a high standard of midwifery care in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes, at the same time:

• Recognising the needs and acknowledging the dignity, culture and values of all patients and their families/significant other.
• Empowering all patients and their families within a service that embraces both continuity of philosophy and consistency of advice and information

The candidates we are seeking will have;

• Recency in acute medical/surgical practice.
• A graduate year and at least one year post the grad year.
• Ability to work am, pm, and night duty shifts.
• Enrolled into the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery with Deakin University.
