Your Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Facilities Coordinator to support a new single-level Ipswich Residential AOD Treatment Facility for adults aged 18 years and over. The centre will provide a total of 46 beds, comprising 36 beds for residential rehabilitation and 10 beds for withdrawal management and care.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in on-site in Ipswich. The position is paying $88,000k – $94,000k annually plus Superannuation and Salary Packaging up to $15,900 per year. We also offer an EAP, Fitness Passport and an additional five days paid leave per year. The service will be operational late-November 2025, and we are looking for someone able to start by mid-November.
What we are looking for
You will bring a background managing facilities – including experience coordinating contractors and overseeing facilities, grounds and kitchen operations to run smoothly. You will be comfortable working on a large residential site, supervising 2 direct reports (Cleaner and Chef/Kitchenhand) and have a compassionate and engaging nature when interacting with clients in the facility. You're someone who:
· Can confidently coordinate contractors and enjoys engaging with tradies on-site
· Brings enthusiasm taking on a broad range of hands-on basic landscaping duties throughout the facility (including mowing, weeding, spraying, general garden upkeep)
· Will undertake basic handyman duties (hanging whiteboards, pictures etc)
· Ideally is familiar with the workings of a commercial kitchen and confident in overseeing kitchen duties carried out by our Cook/Kitchen-hand
· Takes great pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by overseeing cleaning duties are carried to standard across all areas of the facility
· Works with a strong understanding of, and compliance with, occupational health and safety requirements
· Is confident setting and maintaining professional boundaries and always maintain confidentiality of the residents – both at work and after hours
· Demonstrates a strong ability to emotionally regulate, and is familiar with de-escalation practices
You should either hold the AHCMOM215 – Operate Commercial Lawnmowers qualification or be willing to obtain it within your first 3 months of employment. You will also require a First Aid Certificate, have a White Card, a current, valid Australian Drivers Licence and a National Police Check.
