Landmark Legal is located in Charlestown, but has a national client base via various referral partners. We focus on families and SMEs in meeting their needs to grow, to protect and to transition their wealth. Our principal areas of work are in Wills and Estates, Family Law, Property investment and development and Commercial areas.

The Position

Landmark Legal is looking for a junior solicitor with 1 to 3 years PAE with a desire to work in a combined position covering family law, as well as Wills and Estate Planning. An opportunity to work with our property team and learn conveyancing and property law is also available if that is preferred.

The primary responsibilities of the position will include:

- Assisting the head of the family law division in managing client files and completing required documentation, taking on client interactions to obtain necessary details as well as dealing with other solicitors and courts in completing all duties required; and

- Working with the firm principal in on Wills and Estate planning matters, including drafting documents and attending on less complex matters directly.

The role will be supervised by senior solicitors on each of the family law and estate planning sides.

Skills and Experience

• 1 - 3 years PAE
• Desire to work in family law and estate planning matters
• Practical experience in either family law or estate planning preferred
• An interest in property law and conveyancing can be included
• Desire to grow into a mid-level position in these areas of law
• Desire to grow into managing client files and work independently
• Desire to work with the firm principals in networking and other events
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work in and contribute to a positive team environment
