Tizzone Manufacturing is a rapidly expanding company specialising in metal and structural fabrication, located in Brendale. Our workshop combines advanced 3D design with a full range of specialised equipment, including collaborative robots (cobots). As part of our growth, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our dynamic team.

Job description

The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools. The ability to perform Full Strength Butt Welds (FSBW) and experience with both steel and aluminium is essential. This is a casual role with potential to transition to full-time employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical measurements
  • Perform FSBW and other welding techniques using manual or semi-automatic equipment
  • Set up and align components using tools such as calipers, rulers, and clamps
  • Conduct inspections of welded surfaces and ensure all products meet quality and safety standards
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in welding
  • Participate actively in training programs and company meetings
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and codes of conduct

Experience:

  • Proficient in welding both steel and aluminium (a welding test will be required as part of the hiring process)
  • Ability to perform Full Strength Butt Welds (FSBW)
  • Expertise in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Oxy-Fuel Gas
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety and using protective gear

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication

Weekly Schedule:

  • 38 hours a week
  • 6am - 2:30pm Monday to Thursday, Fridays 6am-12pm
  • Overtime available
