The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and autonomous 
Full Stack Software Engineer
 to join our in-house team. This is a pivotal role that will drive the development of our next-generation, high-performance AV control systems, with a specific focus on the dynamic sports entertainment market. You will be confident in owning the entire software development lifecycle, from architecting scalable solutions to deploying robust, user-friendly control interfaces. This is an 
office-based role in Lidcombe
, providing a stable and structured work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, Own, and Lead:
     Take ownership of the various in-house software solutions and products, ensuring they meet business needs and technical standards.
  2. Architectural Design & Development:
     Architect and develop the next generation of AV control systems, working hands-on with the latest AV hardware and streaming applications.
  3. Best Practice Implementation:
     Establish and enforce best software development practices (e.g., code review, documentation, security) to ensure a reliable and excellent customer experience.
  4. Full Stack Proficiency:
     Deliver robust functionality across both client-side and server-side components.
  5. Collaboration & Solutioning:
     Collaborate effectively with internal AV technical teams and external customers to maximise the experience and functional benefits of the developed solutions.
  6. Testing & Deployment:
     Establish a robust testing strategy (unit, integration, end-to-end) and streamline the CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Required Certifications and Qualifications

  • Experience:
     Minimum 
    2+ years
     of professional experience in a Full Stack Software Development role.
  • Back-End Expertise:
     Strong proficiency in 
    Python
     (preferably with the 
    Django
     framework).
  • Front-End Expertise:
     Strong proficiency in 
    JavaScript
    , along with practical experience in 
    TypeScript
    .
  • Database:
     Proven experience with 
    PostgreSQL
     within a 
    Linux
     operating environment.
  • DevOps/Testing:
     Practical experience with various testing methodologies and automated testing tools.
  • Version Control:
     Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, code repository management, and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Formal Qualifications:
     Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Bonus Technology:
     Experience with the 
    Rust
     programming language is highly regarded.
  • Domain Knowledge:
     Any previous AV programming or development experience (
    Q-SYS, Crestron, AMX
    ) is a significant advantage, though not strictly required.
