THE ROLE

The Full Stack Developer will provide strategic and technical support to develop, maintain, and grow a portfolio of software applications / websites. They will enhance the organisations customer-focused approach, that is high-quality, cost effective and sustainable, while ensuring robustness, scalability, maintainability, and performance. 

Having a cloud and mobile-first approach, the ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with people and a keen desire to learn and work with new technologies.

As a key team member in the digital area, you are expected to collaborate, adapt, and innovate as a core aspect of how you perform your role. Working closely in partnership with the business operations and Digital Service team will be key to the success of this role. 

This role will have web applications development responsibility using several languages and technologies, including:

  • Undertake web maintenance tasks and correct technical errors and inconsistencies.
  • Support the secure and efficient transfer and use of data between the websites and the Organisation's CRM and other systems.
  • Coordinate and manage application development tasks via organisational project management tools Continually search for security threats and implement measures to minimise the risk of the websites being compromised and confidentiality breached.
  • Conduct regular security threat surveillance and recommend and implement measures to minimise the risk of websites being compromised and content databases being breached.
  • Ensure Web application processes and documentation are built and maintained to underpin quality-driven outcomes.
  • Develop and test contingency plans in the event of websites going offline.
  • Successful onboarding and management of cloud workloads
  • Development of web applications, considering robustness, scalability, maintainability, and performance
  • Develop new user-facing features and be actively involved in improving existing applications.
  • Ensure the documentation of Web applications.
  • Maintain alignment with the organisation's strategic direction, systems and processes.
  • Developing and maintaining REST APIs

STRATEGIC

  • Contribute to, and demonstrate by example, the vision, mission, and values.
  • Maintain a strong network across the industry and relationships with suppliers, regulators, customers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the Group and participate in continuous improvement of the wider organisation by recommending sensible changes and communicating issues that may affect the organisation.

 THE CANDIDATE

  • A self-starter that is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Results-driven and service-oriented with excellent time-management skills
  • Collaborate with users, business operations, designers and Business Analysts to implement requirements
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills and teamwork
  • Develop new user-facing features and be actively involved in improving existing applications
