About the role

ICYMHS Community Teams are multi-disciplinary teams providing specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with young people up to the age of 25, presenting with a range of mental health concerns, high levels of distress and other psycho-social difficulties. We are looking for a Senior clinician to join the Ringwood Community Team on a permanent part-time (0.8 EFT)  basis. The Ringwood Community Team works closely with young people, their families and care systems to provide systemic, relational and recovery-based mental health care.

This is an opportunity for a senior clinician, or a clinician who is ready to step up into a senior clinician role, to join a supportive and skilled team with sound structures to support clinician growth and development, such as professional, clinical and peer-based supervision and support for professional development and study.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current OT, Psychology or Nursing registration with AHPRA. SW eligibility for membership with AASW.
  • Five years post graduate experience in child and youth mental health.
  • Post Graduate qualifications in family therapy, child psychotherapy is desirable.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
