Overview
We are seeking an Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner to join our dedicated team of health professionals in Oodnadatta.
The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) has a strong commitment to the provision of accessible, effective and meaningful services to the Aboriginal communities, families and individuals from rural and remote areas. It also acknowledges the cultural determinants and particular complexities affecting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people and the need for a holistic and multi-faceted health approach to service design and delivery.
About the Opportunity
This 6-month contract position, with the possibility of a further 6-month extension, will see you working in the heart of the Eyre and Western region, delivering culturally appropriate health services to the Oodnadatta community. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, person-centred care that respects Aboriginal culture and traditional healing practices.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an Aboriginal Health Worker or Practitioner to join our team, who will be responsible for promoting the improvement of Aboriginal Health within the community by working within the clinic's goals and primary health care principles.
- The Aboriginal Health Worker will primarily provide to clients of the Aboriginal Community a Primary Health Care service to bring about education, understanding and knowledge of social, health and wellbeing issues.
- The Aboriginal Health Worker will contribute to and be instrumental in maintaining a high degree of awareness regarding culturally appropriate conditions and practices in all dealings with Aboriginal clients
