Kitchen Team Member

About the role

As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a key role in our food production team, helping deliver high-quality meals for commercial packaging and distribution. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, following traditional recipes and production schedules.
• Preparing ingredients through washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning to support daily kitchen operations.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment, including regular cleaning of equipment, surfaces, and utensils.
• Ensuring consistency and quality in every dish through careful measurement, precise cooking, and attention to presentation and portion control.
• Restocking and monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and kitchen supplies to support smooth workflow.
• Collaborating with the Kitchen Team Leader and supporting the team with additional tasks as required.
• Upholding food safety and hygiene standards at all times, in line with regulatory and company requirements.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role in a commercial kitchen or similar.
• Has completed or is currently completing a formal qualification in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Services.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
• Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
• Enthusiasm for food and a genuine interest in the culinary arts.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Food safety and hygiene certification or a willingness to obtain one.
