Canberra Child Psychiatry Centre provides child psychiatry services. We have a state-of-the-art centre in Deakin.

We provide ongoing psychiatry care for young people transitioning to adulthood including young people with ADHD. We share our inspiring clinic space in a multi-disciplinary collaboration with a brilliant team of Psychologists, paediatrician, a full-time Occupational therapist, and two paediatric psychiatrists. The clinic is owner-operated with a focus on client care, clinician development, and providing a supportive and well-resourced practice to provide the best outcomes for clients and their families.

We are looking for a passionate Child Psychologist (General, Clinical, Provisional) to join our team.

The position involves working with children and young adults with varying conditions including Autism, Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorders, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Sensory Processing Difficulties.

Qualifications & experience

  • A degree qualification in Psychology
  • Full AHPRA Registration (Provisionals will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Current working with children check, police check

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Individual consultations with children and families
  • Keeping notes in line with AHPRA and APS regulations
  • Communication with relevant stakeholders (e.g. schools, doctors, families, allied health team etc)

Canberra Child Psychiatry Centre is willing to negotiate hours/days of work with full or part-time options available. Salary is well above award and will be set depending on paediatric experience. Option of contractor percentage for general and clinical psychologists.
