Role: Venture Intern / Chief of Staff (Internship)

NZVC is an early-stage venture fund with a strong focus on Australia and New Zealand, particularly the vibrant ecosystem in NZ. Our team, based across Sydney, Auckland, and San Francisco, drives impactful initiatives including the Techmates podcast, Antipodean Labs (our in-house product studio), and various other entrepreneurial projects. Backed by an international network of limited partners, we're actively shaping the future of the ANZ startup landscape.

We're looking for someone exceptional to join our tight-knit team and build this vision with us. This isn't your typical intern role—think Chief of Staff meets Venture Analyst meets Product Builder. You'll sit at the heart of our operations, directly supporting our Partners and engaging closely with founders, industry leaders, and our extensive global network.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and optimize our deal flow processes.
  • Source and speak directly with founders, becoming a critical first touchpoint for opportunities.
  • Lead comprehensive due diligence and targeted research initiatives to inform investment decisions.
  • Support diverse projects, including the Techmates podcast, Antipodean Labs initiatives, and other strategic ventures.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts, working directly with our international network of LPs.
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities, challenges, and solutions before they're apparent.
