About The Role
This position works in the Physiotherapy Department, West Moreton Health.

The purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of Physiotherapy clinical services and leadership across acute emergency services including Emergency Departments (ED) and Minor Injuries Units within West Moreton Health.

This role is responsible for management of a medium sized Physiotherapy team. The role is the reference point for others across West Moreton Health.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include

  • Deliver an advanced level of clinical skill in one or more areas of a complex nature with the ability to independently apply novel judgement to meet the needs of patients across the continuum of care.
  • Provide clinical practice supervision, training, and components of performance management, to staff within Emergency Departments and Minor Injury Units.
  • Lead, contribute, and provide support to Physiotherapists in undertaking quality improvement and/or clinical research projects that influence standards of clinical practice and the delivery of services.

About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Contemporary specialist-level knowledge and skills in Emergency Physiotherapy services within one or more areas of expertise listed above.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment and senior management to influence a clinical or service outcome.
  • Ability to lead a medium sized team and independently manage highly complex clinical caseloads.
  • Ability to lead quality and service improvement activities that result in improved outcomes for patients/customers and/or the organisation.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
  • The possession of a tertiary degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) is a requirement for this role.
