Flinders Lane Barbers are a professional and welcoming hair salon dedicated to delivering exceptional hair services to our diverse clientele. Our friendly team prides itself on creativity, quality, and personalised customer care. Due to growing demand, we are seeking a skilled Hairdresser to join our team on a full-time basis. Salary on offer is $7800 plus super.

Position Overview

As a Hairdresser, you will provide a full range of hairdressing services, ensuring every client leaves feeling confident and looking their best. You will be working in a supportive environment with access to professional tools and training to keep your skills sharp.

Duties include providing hair care and beauty services, including washing, conditioning, cutting, colouring, chemical treatments, styling (e.g., dreadlocks, braids, extensions), and facial hair grooming. Maintains hygiene by cleaning work areas and tools. Manages client appointments, payments, and may also work with wigs and hairpieces.

Essential Requirements

  • At least Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 2 years' recent, relevant experience as a hairdresser

  • Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring, and styling

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required

  • Commitment to hygiene and workplace safety standards

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with advanced colour techniques, hair extensions, or specialised treatments

  • Creativity and passion for the hair and beauty industry

  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team
