Description:

About the Role:

This role involves sewing upholstery covers for commercial office furniture, predominantly chairs.

We are looking for someone who is flexible to learning new skills and open to helping out the team with adhoc tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Sewing & Overlocking:

• Sew fabrics according to patterns to meet commercial office seating requirements.
• Operate various machines including single needle serge, overlock, and blind hem.

Production Plan:

• Follow a pre-determined production plan to ensure products are completed within the required timeframe.

Stock Control:

• Assist with the control and management of stock fabrics.

Perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager.

Skills and Experiences:

• At least 2 years' experience in sewing fabrics, preferably within the upholstery industry.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong customer service focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage, and prioritise multiple requests.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in production environments.
