The Role

We're looking for a talented and motivated Fullstack PHP Software Developer to join our Jet Development Team. You'll play a key role in building, maintaining, and evolving our data migration tools — including systems powered by the latest in AI-assisted development.

You'll work in a small, agile development team and collaborate directly with operational staff to refine requirements and deliver solutions that truly work.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test new software applications
  • Maintain and improve existing systems
  • Collaborate with operational clients to verify requirements
  • Participate in agile sprint planning and reviews
  • Provide technical support to internal operations
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

What You'll Need
Technical Skills
  • Strong PHP skills with experience in frameworks (preferably Laravel)
  • Strong PHP 7.4+ skills with experience in Laravel 8 or above
  • Experience with modern frontend development (preferably React JS)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (preferably MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git)
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience
  • Must have Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
  • Must be willing to undergo police check and reference checks
Soft Skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn from others and share your own knowledge
  • Proactive attitude with attention to detail

Bonus Points For
  • Experience with automation tools such as AutoIt, VB Script, or Puppeteer
  • Accounting or bookkeeping knowledge
