About the role

As a Home Care Worker at Global Enablers Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting elderly and disabled clients to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. This casual role offers flexible working arrangements to fit your lifestyle, with the opportunity to work in the Glenelg Shire (Portland) and Limestone Coast (Mt Gambier) areas.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing personalised care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation and light housekeeping
  • Supporting clients with safe medication management in line with care plans, organisational policies and worker competencies—this may include prompting, assisting, documenting, and escalating concerns to the clinical team
  • Helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life through social engagement and participation in community activities
  • Collaborating with the client, their family and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans
  • Documenting client progress and changes in condition, and reporting any concerns to the appropriate team members
  • Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Relevant experience in aged care, disability support or a similar caregiving role
  • Confidence in following medication support instructions, documenting medication assistance, and escalating risks or errors appropriately
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of elderly and disabled individuals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
  • Excellent problem-solving and adaptability, to respond to the unique needs of each client
  • A current First Aid certificate and Police Check
  • A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport
