We've just opened the doors to our brand-new Verve Portraits studio in Alexandria, and we're on the lookout for an energetic and creative Studio Assistant to join our team.

This is the perfect opportunity for a young photographer or photography student who wants hands-on experience in a professional, fast-paced, and inspiring studio environment.

For over 18 years, Verve has been one of Australia's leading portrait studios — capturing real emotion, connection, and creativity in every session. Our new Alexandria studio is a stunning, design-led space where artistry meets hospitality — and we're building a small, passionate team to bring it to life.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Studio Assistant, you'll be the heartbeat of the studio — ensuring every shoot runs smoothly and every client feels welcomed and cared for. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Greeting clients with warmth and professionalism
  • Making coffee and drinks for clients during their shoot
  • Answering phone calls and checking studio emails
  • Assisting photographers during sessions — from setting up to packing down
  • Helping keep studio spaces tidy and beautifully presented
  • Shooting behind-the-scenes (BTS) content for our social media
  • Uploading images and ensuring smooth digital file management

Who We're Looking For

  • A photography student or recent graduate eager to gain studio experience
  • Confident, friendly, and professional when interacting with clients
  • Organised, reliable, and proactive — someone who loves to help out
  • Creative and social-media savvy (BTS video skills are a bonus)
  • Available every Sunday and Wednesday
  • Must have an ABN and able to set up public liability insurance
