Based at our Fyshwick branch, as the Plant Mechanic you will assume responsibility for the efficient and effective servicing of our extensive range of hire equipment and machinery.
You will also be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment - work on access, earthmoving, compaction, generators, lighting, traffic management, trucks & vehicles, welders, small tools & equipment and material handling, whilst always ensuring exceptional customer service and a high standard of safety.
- Maintaining up-to-date service records for all service and repair work
- Minimise operational downtime of equipment
- Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture - champion safety with your colleagues and customers.
In addition to effective time management, attention to detail and strong commitment to safety you will also need to have:
- Monday to Friday Roster with opportunity for overtime where required.
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills
- Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics pneumatics and basic electrical skills
- A forklift ticket (highly regarded)
