We are seeking a full time Front Office Coordinator/Dental Assistant to join our dental team in Port Augusta.

We are seeking a superstar who is looking to take their career to the next level. This position is perfect for someone looking for a long-term role.The practice is offering professional development training, a committed team, great hours and remuneration. The position has the capacity for advancement into a full practice management role.

As a front office coordinator/dental assistant, your role will be multi-faceted and varied, but mainly consist of:

  • Administrative duties, such as managing our appointment books, as well as processing HICAPS/DVA/CDBS claims, electronic payments and developing and following through on treatment plans.
  • Front desk duties, including welcoming new and returning patients to the practice, receiving and making phone calls and tending to correspondence.
  • Chair-side dental assisting activities for all general dental and OHT procedures, which includes digital imaging, patient records management and coordination of instruments and materials.
  • Infection control activities including cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation and preparation of instruments according to established protocols.
  • Stock control, ordering and liaison with industry representatives.
  • Participation in marketing initiatives and other practice management duties.

  • bubbly, inviting and friendly
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • the ability to multi-task with good time management
  • have the ability to problem solve
  • play a pro-active role in each day's appointment schedule and patient activities to ensure things run as seamless as possible.
  • previous experience using D4W software is desirable
