Are you passionate about wildlife and education? Do you have the creativity and drive to develop programs that inspire the next generation to care for our environment?

SOWFI, South Australia's largest wildlife rescue organisation, is seeking a volunteer Education Program Development Manager to lead the creation of an engaging education program for schools. This exciting role will shape how young people learn about wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and living harmoniously alongside our native animals.

What you'll do:

Design engaging school presentations (initially Reception–Year 6, with senior school programs to follow).

Develop interactive resources including classroom activities, storytelling tools, and take-home family activities.

Align content with curriculum while ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and age-appropriateness.

Pilot the program in at least two schools by the end of 2025.

What we're looking for:

A background in education, environmental science, or community engagement.

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage young learners.

Experience creating age-appropriate learning materials.

A commitment to wildlife welfare and community education.

What you'll achieve:

Deliver a fully developed school program by the end of 2025.

Create at least three take-home family activities to inspire wildlife-friendly behaviours.

Make a real difference in shaping community attitudes toward wildlife while helping SOWFI raise funds to continue rescue work.
