We are seeking a Lead Supply & Pharmacy to provide strategic delivery for our Operational Logistics Department.
This is a Full Time, Fixed Term (August 2026) position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.
About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Operational Fleet & Equipment, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Ensuring strategic contracting is utilised for all applicable contracts within the supply chain incorporating a data-driven, analysis-rich methodology for developing sourcing solutions and managing the market engagement, negotiation and contracting stages of the sourcing process
- Ensure AV contracts appropriately satisfy the identified business needs through a strategic approach to procurement.
- Responsible for the state-wide AV Pharmacy operations ensuring efficient and safe distribution of Medications to all AV operational locations
- Ensure Supply Chain and Pharmacy staff have a strong working knowledge of, and comply with, Procurement and medication policies, permits and procedures
- Responsible for identification, development, co-ordination and delivery of appropriate performance metrics of Supply Contracts and subsequently provide regular reporting on this performance to a range of internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversee development, maintenance and ongoing review of appropriate communication channels of supply and AV Pharmacy areas with internal and external stakeholders in particular Regional Operations.
About You
To be considered for this position you will possess a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high level relevant experience in a Health, Business, Management, or Public Administration related Discipline. Other requirements include:
- Extensive experience with the management and implementation of supply chain management processes, including financial and resource, contract and supplier management
- Strong demonstrated experience in Project Management and Contract Management
- Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in the management and supervision of staff
- Demonstrated effectiveness in negotiation, communication and consultation with individuals and groups, employees, clients and government agencies, including experience in building and managing relationships with major third parties
