At Border Switchboards Sheetmetal and Powdercoating we are a local company with three active and thriving divisions. Our powder coating section is experiencing continual growth and as such we have a current vacancy for a Powder Coater to join our team.

The role:

  • Prepare and clean products for powder coating
  • Hang products in preparation for powder coating
  • Powder coat products
  • Remove products after cured in oven
  • Pack completed products to protect in transit
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance checks
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
  • Communicate with production team to ensure smooth workflow

The person:

  • Experience with powder coating preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Attention for detail and pride in your work
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Hard working and reliable
  • Transport to and from work
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Forklift license would be advantageous
