About us

Our beautiful Education and Care Service is located in Shellharbour and is overseen by Shellharbour Community Church Management Committee and an experienced Early Childhood Teacher Director. Our service operates from 7.00 am - 6:00pm catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and up to 66 children per day.

Qualifications & experience

We are looking for a Part Time Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma Educator.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ECT - NESA proficient teacher accreditation or working towards.
  • Professional presentation
  • Hard working, Reliable and Strong Work Ethic.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Able to be assertive and show initiative but also act on guidance and work according to organisational standards and expectations.
  • Plan and implement a high-quality early childhood curriculum and have an excellent understanding of intentional teaching, school readiness and a variety teaching skills and abilities to engage children in age-appropriate activities and experiences.
  • Able to effectively communicate with children, families, other staff and Sprouts Management. Working well in a team and able to critically reflect and implement changes to improve.
  • Pedagogical leader, modelling best practice and guiding other educators.
  • Passionate and an advocate for play based learning, nature exploration and sustainability.
