Nextt is currently seeking Disability Support Workers to support individuals in the Nambucca Heads and Valla areas.

We are hiring for both 2:1 complex care and 1:1 community/in-home support roles. These are hands-on roles requiring a high level of reliability, compassion, and professionalism.

Available Shifts:

  • 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (daily)
  • 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM (daily)
  • 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Wednesdays & Fridays)

Role Requirements for Complex Care Support:

  • Supporting a bed-bound client with high physical care needs
  • Manual handling and use of appropriate equipment required
  • Bowel care essential, including enemas every second day
  • Catheter care required
  • The client is very particular about how tasks are done — attention to detail is critical
  • Must be comfortable with involved personal care
  • A good sense of humour and ability to follow detailed directions is important

  • First Aid & CPR
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Working with children check
  • Australian working rights

Pay Rates

E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
  • Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33
