Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development. Service Design and Support coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services
The Role
The Principal Consultant - Contracts will support the delivery of a range of identified procurement and contract management related initiatives. In this role, you will provide advice on, contribute to and lead strategic procurement, and complex contract management. You will undertake probity, compliance and quality assessment of contract documents and submissions, complete quality assurance of contract and procurement approval procedures and processes.
As Principal Consultant - Contracts you will effectively capture complex information to prepare high-level briefings, reports, research and discussion papers for presentation while applying your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills consulting and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and support the implementation of related strategies and initiatives.
This position formally reports to the Project Support Manager, and is part of the Service Design and Support Directorate. Operationally, depending on project and initiative deliverables, the role may also be accountable to other senior officers. As a team member, you will actively contribute to branch and divisional priorities and initiatives.
