The Opportunity

The AH-64E Apache is the world's most advanced and proven attack helicopter. It integrates innovative technologies to aid the crew in decision making, offering a new level of battlefield dominance through enhanced performance, increased situational awareness, superior survivability, and improved target detection, acquisition and engagement.

We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to support the AH-64E Apache Helicopter program. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with technical/engineering/Defence knowledge to provide a vital contribution in an important product governance role; ensuring that configuration of the Apache helicopter is suitably documented, traceable and managed using CM principles.

This role is based at Gallipolli Barracks, Enoggera.

As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will apply your technical knowledge and experience to provide the following services for the Apache fleet:

  • Manage and maintain the program's product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes and approved configuration.
  • Coordinate Configuration Control Boards and ensure that engineering change is managed in a controlled manner.
  • Prepare and participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of configuration and data management plans, processes, systems and tools.
  • Maintain the controls necessary for data to meet security, trade control and intellectual property requirements
  • Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.

To be considered for the role

  • Demonstrated experience in Configuration Management.
  • Formal Configuration Management training / certification advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry configuration management standards.
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a Defence environment using Defence systems and tools.
