About The Role
As a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support escalated issues, and contribute to strategic IT projects that drive business continuity and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Maintain and upgrade servers, storage, and network components.
  • Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and ACSC guidelines.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support and assist the Service Desk team.
  • Lead or support IT projects including migrations and integrations.
  • Document configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Certifications in industry-standard technologies are highly regarded.

Technical Experience (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Admin Centre, Office 365, Azure, Intune, Autopilot (MOE),
  • VMWare, Veeam, Fortinet, Meraki
  • MS Defender, Barracuda Email Security
  • PowerShell tools
