What you'll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse in Perioperative Services, you will provide individualised, high-quality nursing care to patients before, during and after surgical procedures - supporting them through critical moments in their health journey. Under the guidance of Registered Nurses, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless, safe, and effective care delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in assessing, planning and evaluating patient care to achieve optimal outcomes
• Provide evidence-based nursing care aligned with ANMAC competencies and WSLHD policies
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
• Manage priorities and resources efficiently in a fast-paced perioperative environment

Essential Criteria:

• Registration: Current and valid registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Selection Criteria:

• Current Authority to Practice as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
• Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
• Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
• Capacity to work seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload within the scope of practice of an Endor Enrolled Nurse
