About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity with the Recreation & Culture Team for a Promotions & Events Officer. The Promotions
& Events Officer plays a key role in enhancing the visibility, engagement, and community connection of the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre and associated sport and recreation facilities, including
the Indoor Stadiums. This position is also responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering promotional activities,
marketing campaigns, and community events that support the Centre's programs, services, and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver marketing and communication plans that
promote the Centre's programs, services, and events. - Plan, coordinate, and deliver community and facility-based
events in collaboration with operational supervisors and
stakeholders - Work closely with the Aquatics, Administration, and
Recreation Programs Supervisors to promote programs and drive
participation across all service areas.
This is a permanent part-time role, working 24 hours per week.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must
have:
- Qualifications in marketing, communications, digital media,
or demonstrated relevant experience in marketing, promotions,
or event management. - Experience planning, coordinating, and delivering events,
including managing logistics, budgets, and stakeholder
engagement. - Strong time management and organisational skills, with the
ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects
concurrently.
Benefits
Cash component: $37.24 per hour
Permanent staff are entitled to:
- 5 weeks annual leave per year
- The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in
exchange for working 40 hours per week. - Minimum of 12% superannuation employer contribution
- Superannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of
