• St Louis Homes – NDIS-approved provider for younger onset dementia
• St Louis Home Care – Government-approved and private home care provider
• St Louis Nursing Home – Boutique residential aged care
• St Louis Allied Health – FIFO allied health services supporting remote South Australian communities

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our boutique aged care facility in Parkside. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards, enjoys working in a team, and is passionate about contributing to resident wellbeing through quality meal service. Role: Kitchen Assistant (Casual – Parkside)

To be successful in this role:

• You'll have a good understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and safety procedures
• You'll be able to follow routines efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• You'll take pride in preparing and presenting meals that meet residents' preferences and dietary needs
• You'll have strong time management skills to ensure meals are served on schedule
• You'll be reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• You'll show respect and empathy when supporting residents and colleagues
• You'll be adaptable to changing needs and able to handle busy periods calmly
• You'll maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with infection control practices
• You'll communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Essentials:

• National Police Clearance (no older than 2 years)
• Up-to-date Influenza vaccination
• Previous experience working in aged care or food service preferred
