Skippy's NT is a proudly family-owned business in Darwin NT who services residential, commercial and rural areas with skip bins. We are a small team friendly team, that have a modern fleet of trucks that enables us to deliver outstanding skip bin services to clients.

About the role

Our business is expanding, and we require experienced MR/HR Driver to operate our Skip and Hook Trucks. This is a key role within our business and a fantastic opportunity where your hard work will be noticed and rewarded.

Skills and experience

  • Must hold a current and valid unrestricted NT HR and/or MR license
  • Must have 12 months minimum driving experience in MR trucks
  • Has a clean driving record and must provide driver history
  • Perform and record daily vehicle pre-start and post-checks
  • Be physically able to complete tarping/de-tarping of bins, secure loads on trucks with straps and chains, entering/exiting trucks
  • Reliable, trustworthy and have a positive 'can do attitude', flexible to change, efficient, and ability to problem solve
  • Willingness to work as part of a successful team and a commitment to safety
  • General Construction Induction Card (white card) or willingness to achieve
  • Preferred understanding of the waste industry, however, full training will be provided to successful applicants
  • Immediate start/or willing to wait for the right candidate
