Senior Medical Receptionist

We are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys providing a high level of patient care.

About the Role

As our Senior Medical Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and assisting patients in a warm, professional manner
• Managing phone calls, appointment bookings, and patient enquiries
• Supporting the doctors and practice team with administrative tasks
• Handling Medicare billing, EFTPOS, and other payments
• Overseeing reception workflow and supporting junior reception staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience (minimum 2–3 years)
• We will also consider applicants with a strong administrative background from other industries who are eager to move into healthcare
• Knowledge of Best Practice software is highly desirable but not essential
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• A caring and professional approach to patient service
