Sandringham, Victoria, Australia Tragear and Harris Lawyers Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Nesh Legal Group is a boutique practice comprising of Tragear & Harris Lawyers based in Sandringham and Mornington Legal based in Mornington. We are long established in the community, and we have a thriving practice in Wills and Estates, Property and Commercial law and Family law. We have an opening for a role in our team for an experienced and motivated Lawyer based in our Mornington office for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will not require constant supervision and will be able to conduct matters without constant direction and needing assistance.

Qualifications & experience

  • A qualified lawyer a minimum of 2 years plus post-admission experience is preferred. Candidates with greater experience will be more favourably considered.
  • Having a current unrestricted Practicing Certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of Wills and Estate matters.
  • You work well in a team and autonomously and are thorough, and motivated to take ownership of your work.
  • Experience with LEAP Legal Software would be advantageous.
  • Have an understanding of litigation matters, preferably with experience in Estate and Trust litigation.
  • Familiar with the Probate and Administration process from applying for the grant to administration of estates.
  • Experience in Family law matters is highly regarded.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Conferences with clients.
  • Handling your own files autonomously with guidance.
  • Attending Court.
  • Corresponding with the other professional colleagues, Counsel and Court.
  • Preparing Court Documents.
  • Other general legal matters and a common sense approach which is required in a boutique general law firm.
  • Assisting with general office duties.
