Web Developer

Location: Remote (Philippines-based applicants only) | Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Help us take Allied X's digital presence from good to exceptional. We are an Australian allied health organisation growing fast, and we want a developer who can own our websites end to end, elevate design and performance, and turn traffic into enquiries and loyal clients.

What you will do

  • Lead the evolution of our WordPress ecosystem, build new features, templates, and custom plugins, improve performance and security, and maintain reliable deployments
  • Extend beyond WordPress using modern stacks where appropriate, for example React, , headless CMS, custom APIs, and integrations with booking, CRM, and payments
  • Drive SEO outcomes, implement technical SEO, schema markup, Core Web Vitals improvements, site architecture, internal linking, and content templates that rank and convert
  • Lift visual design and UX, produce clean component libraries, accessible UI, and mobile first experiences that are fast and delightful
  • Improve conversion rate, create testable landing pages, run A B tests, track funnels, and use analytics to make evidence based decisions
  • Ensure accessibility and quality, follow WCAG 2.2 AA, write maintainable code, implement automated checks and CI CD
  • Own telemetry and reliability, set up monitoring and error tracking, manage hosting and CDN, and keep environments healthy and secure
  • Partner across the business, collaborate with marketing and clinical teams, translate ideas into briefs and roadmaps, and ship on time

Tech you are confident with

  • WordPress at a deep level, PHP, custom themes, ACF, Gutenberg, WooCommerce
  • JavaScript and TypeScript, React, , , REST and GraphQL APIs
  • HTML and CSS, Tailwind or similar utility CSS, component driven design
  • DevOps and hosting, Git and GitHub, CI CD, AWS or similar, Docker, Cloudflare
  • SEO and analytics, GA4, Google Search Console, Tag Manager, Hotjar or similar, A B testing tools, Rank Math or Yoast
  • Performance, image optimisation, caching, lazy loading, database tuning, Core Web Vitals

Nice to have

  • Experience with healthcare, NDIS, LMS platforms, and secure form workflows
  • Design literacy, comfort moving between Figma and code
  • Data skills for dashboards and marketing automations through APIs and webhooks

  • You have shipped commercial websites at scale, you can show before and after outcomes with metrics
  • You care about craft, speed, accessibility, and security
  • You communicate clearly, manage priorities, and enjoy owning results from idea to deployment
  • You are comfortable in a fluid role, happy to work independently and collaborate closely when needed

Working arrangements

  • Work from home, following AEST hours
  • Full time is preferred, outstanding part time candidates considered
