About the Company
Our client is a leading provider of high-quality meat products, committed to excellence across all areas of their operations. With the opening of their new small stock processing plant in Mildura, they are continuing to expand and innovate. To support this growth, they are now seeking a dedicated and skilled Skin and Wool Classers to join our processing team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for grading, classing, and preparing skins and wool in accordance with company, industry, and export standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grading and classing sheep and lamb skins according to quality standards
- Sorting hides/wool for processing and export
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with AQIS and company guidelines
- Assisting with production targets and meeting daily quotas
- Upholding strict workplace safety, hygiene, and food safety practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in skin or wool classing (preferred, but training available)
- Certificate III in Wool Classing or relevant qualifications (highly regarded)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Physically fit and reliable, with strong teamwork and communication skills
