About the role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic Mobile Vehicle Inspector to join the company and carry out inspections of vehicles we are considering purchasing in the Sydney region. The role will primarily focus on the north of the city with travel to other regions as needed.

The primary purpose of this position is to support the company's need to inspect cars as quickly and thoroughly as possible, and provide accurate reports of the vehicle's mechanical condition.

Some of the responsibilities & duties will include:

  • Inspecting cars both visually and mechanically and accurately reporting the information to enable us to make a fully informed purchase.
  • Liaising with the purchasing team and Booking Coordinator on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with customers when arranging inspections.
  • Negotiating with customers, at the direction of the purchase managers, where an inspection may result in reduced offer price.
  • Execute electronic purchase contracts with customers at completion of successful inspections

Skills and experience

  • Strong mechanical background with ability to identify mechanical faults.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
