Embedded Engineer

Signal Data Systems, an innovative leader in smart-city water control systems, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team.
Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and developing a new cloud-connected lighting control system. Your expertise will encompass autonomous hardware design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware programming, working closely with a senior software engineer to deliver a fully integrated IoT solution. We're looking for a dynamic engineer who can work autonomously, taking the project from specification to completion.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Hardware and PCB design tailored for sports-field lighting control
- Embedded firmware development in C/C++ aligned with project specifications
- Close collaboration with a software engineer to ensure seamless cloud connectivity and device control
- End-to-end management of hardware and firmware development processes
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in Altium Designer and/or Autodesk EAGLE
- Demonstrable experience with suitable microcontrollers
- Solid understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT etc)
- Expertise in common communication protocols (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Serial)
