Bendigo, Victoria, Australia Bendigo Bank Full time
  • Help enable prosperity and sustainability in regional Australian communities
  • Contribute to powering a more adaptable, sustainable and productive future for agribusiness in Australia
  • Join a team that engenders trust with our customers, genuinely cares about each other, values you and is always getting more diverse

We've never been 'just a bank'. Just like you should never be 'just an employee'. We're united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we're making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

You are a dynamic leader with deep agribusiness experience ready to lead a large geographic region and drive our Northeast Victorian team forward as a key growth market in our Agribusiness strategy. You can tap into what motivates people and inspire them to achieve outcomes; attracting, nurturing and developing key talent within your business to ensure service is exceeded.

As a key leader, you will be the voice of customer ensuring that their needs and feedback are at the heart of every strategic decision. You will drive operational excellence through technology changes, process enhancements, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance both efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Your ability to lead through change, foster a high-performance culture, and champion a customer-centric approach will be pivotal in shaping the future and delivering on our promises. With a strong performance focus, you can deliver growth whilst balancing this with the Bank's risk appetite

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you'll make your mark by:

  • Lead a team of Agribusiness Relationship Managers across Northeast VIC; encompassing Bendigo, Shepparton, Wangaratta, Albury and Wodonga.
  • In conjunction with a national approach, you will enhance sales strategies for your state and ensure those strategies are understood and well executed by your team.
  • Support your team through change, technology transformation and come out on the other side with an engaged and collaborative crew who are committed to adopting successful sales operating rhythms and who have our customers front of mind in everything they do.
  • Invest in your people, providing mentoring and coaching to further their development and progression as well as timely feedback and support when it's needed to ensure performance outcomes are achieved.
  • Establish a culture built on accountability and achieving outcomes in a way that is true our values.

This is not your average Regional Manager role. You will have seat, and more importantly a voice, at the Agri Leadership Team table where we will encourage you to challenge the status quo and stretch into strategic development opportunities.

What you'll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading a large agribusiness team with deep knowledge of lending and credit risk principles
  • Up-to-date knowledge and insights of agriculture market conditions, agribusiness products, cash flows and markets
  • Passionate about developing others through robust approach to coaching, including sales and performance management
  • Deep understanding of the tools and principles that enhance operational excellence and drive a culture focused on continuous improvement
  • The ability to collaborate and think outside the square to develop innovative, customer-centric solutions across all divisions of the bank
  • Demonstrated exposure in successfully leading a team/business through multifaceted transformation and change will be highly regarded
  • A tertiary qualification in agribusiness, finance or a related discipline

So, why work with us?

  • Want big impact that matters? Here, you'll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.
  • Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse, every day.
