We are currently looking for a sous chef to join our team.
Roles and responsibilities include:
· Second in command assisting the head chef in managing the entire kitchen, ensuring seamless kitchen operation
· Selecting and training staff,
· Planning and creating menus,
· Calculating costs of raw materials and ingredients to fit within budget, and ensuring raw materials and ingredients are ordered on time.
· Preparing and cooking menu dishes,
· Demonstrate and teach cooking techniques to new staff,
· Ensure the highest quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation,
· Discuss food preparation methods and menus with managers and kitchen staffs,
· Ensure hygiene regulations are enforced in the kitchen at all times,
· Freezing and preserving food items.
You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply.
Skills and Qualifications:
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or at least 3 years of relevant experience as a chef or in related field.
Experience:
· 1 year minimum experience as a sous chef or in a related field.

Salary Offered
· $80, ,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
