Shanghai Red is proud to present legendary xiao long bao in our exquisite flavour, a tribute to Chinese delicacy and a tantalising experience for all. Xiao Long Bao is a famous Jiang Nan delicacy originating from Nan Xiang, Shanghai which also known as soup dumpling, is traditionally steamed and served in small bamboo baskets, hence the name (Xiaolong which literally means "small steaming basket").

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation stages.
• Supervise kitchen staff and provide necessary training.
• Assisting with kitchen prep and maintaining a tidy, organised workspace.
• Supporting the team during busy service periods.
• Maintain and monitor kitchen equipment and utensils, coordinating with maintenance or suppliers to ensure all tools are in safe, working condition.
• Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow—e.g., liaising on dish timing, special requests, allergy information, and portion controls.
• Following food safety and hygiene standards.
• Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage food supply orders.

What We're Looking For:

• Must hold an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Should have excellent leadership and communication skills.
• A strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of food preparation, safety, and hygiene standards.
• A positive, team-player attitude.
• Availability to work flexible shifts (days, nights, weekends).
• Full working rights in Australia.
