About the role

Amuro' is seeking a talented CDP, Junior Sous, Sous chef to join our team in Darlinghurst, NSW. This is a full-time role that will play a key part in the operations and culinary excellence of our renowned hospitality establishment.

Experiences in working in a fast paced kitchen is a MUST.

What you'll be doing

  1. Daily food preparation, including busy dinner service.
  2. Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management
  3. Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation
  4. Mentor and train junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and expertise
  5. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to align service.
  6. Maintain a safe, hygienic, and efficient kitchen environment

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a CDP, Junior Sous, or Sous chef in a reputable hospitality establishment
  2. Proven track record of leading and motivating a kitchen team
  3. Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisine styles
  4. Excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
  5. Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating innovative dishes
  6. Commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards
  7. Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
