Tasks & responsibilities

  • Reconciling all accounts on daily basis and ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately and up-to-date

  • Preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statement (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statement (IAS)

  • Prepare and review of management account and financial statements

  • Managing and process fortnightly or monthly payroll. Update and maintain payroll procedures accordingly. Preparation and lodgement of payroll tax return.

  • Monitoring lodgement program to ensure ATO lodgement dates are met for income tax, activity statements, STP for the companies you manage

  • Reviewing cash flow reporting or forecasting from time to time

  • Reviewing the Account Receivables and Account Payables

  • Liaison with ATO, bankers and suppliers and answer queries as required

  • Experience in Quickbooks and Xero preferred

About you

  • Experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in commercial firm with good understanding of accounting standards and taxation laws

  • A Qualified CA or CPA accountant (or working toward)

  • Proficiency in utilising QuickBook and Xero

  • You will be a motivated individual with a positive attitude, professional demeanor and excellent accounting skills

  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to communicate complex accounting and tax matters in a practical way
