It is required you hold a tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning, Town Planning or a closely related discipline and have some practical planning experience such as an internship, cadetship or 6–24 months in a planning environment.

You will demonstrate a sound understanding of Queensland planning instruments including Planning Schemes, the Planning Act 2016 and Development Assessment Rules. Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), report-writing skills and solid analytical ability to identify planning issues to recommend practical solutions are required. Effective time and task management and competency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software is essential.
