The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated finance professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills to join our Finance team and work closely with Project Managers on a range of key projects varying in size. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial matters for your projects, providing analysis and direction to achieve financial goals.
Reporting to the Project Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective reporting and maintenance of finance and accounting functions pertaining to a portfolio of projects of various sizes. You will be an outstanding communicator and enjoy partnering with Project Managers to assist with their financial reporting obligations, as well as report results to Senior Management.
As part of the high-performing Finance team, you will work with accountants and key project personnel to provide effective accounting processes and ensure projects that are key to Australia's renewable energy infrastructure are costed and reported effectively.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor of Commerce (or similar) or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with key stakeholders
- Previous experience in analysing financial data to assist project costs forecasting and assessing risks
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Proven ability in preparation of reports, working to tight monthly deadlines and supporting project delivery teams
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Familiarity with accounting and project costing software and strong microsoft excel skills
