As an Occupational Therapist in our organisation, you will be required:
- To provide high quality services in accordance with the NDIS terms of business, the National Standards and the Quality and Safeguard Commission standards and regulations and ConneXtions policies and procedures.
- To undertake: clinical assessments ensuring goal and outcome driven strategies are identified and implemented in individual and/or group arrangements.
- To prepare outcome-based reports for families, NDIS, and other service providers
- To design and deliver 1:1; and small group capacity building sessions, linked to participant's goals and outcomes.
- To supervise Allied Health workers in planning and implementation of goals and outcomes directly linked to planned goals and outcomes.
- To promote a rights-based approach and maintain a zero tolerance to abuse and neglect and create a supportive environment for participants that enhances and promotes their independence and maximises their choices.
- To work flexibly and collaboratively with family members and ConneXtions teams and actively contribute to the development and Review of service delivery models to support continuous improvement.
- To actively promote the guiding principles of the ConneXtions organisation and support the organisation's vision, mission and values."
To provide high quality clinical service and advice to participants; other health professionals and family/Carers.
To provide operational support and to actively communicate issues impacting on clinical practice and care delivery.
- To provide person centred clinical advice that includes innovative practice and therapeutic techniques deliverable via clinical care and treatment.
- To apply evidence-based practice while dealing effectively and efficiently with a broad range of clinical issues.
- To assess and manage, "aides" used to support of participants, including (but not limited to) visual, mechanical and internet.
- To ensure participant outcomes are delivered within legal and ethical boundaries and reflects an evidence-based approach.
- Ensure that support is linguistically and culturally appropriate to the needs of the people we support.
- To actively participate in the ongoing review and development of
- ConneXtions service models, policies, procedures and work practices.

For success you will have:
- A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
- Registration with Allied Health Professional Association
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of issues facing people with disabilities and their families.
- Highly developed communication skills including community and stakeholder engagement, as well as a professional level of oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to promote expertise within multidisciplinary team and ensure a seamless continuum of care between services.
- Demonstrated capacity to creatively challenge accepted practice.
- Computer literacy – (intermediate level) – Microsoft Office, and relevant client management software. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
As a condition of employment, you are required to obtain and maintain compliance with:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
- Working With Children Check (VIC & NSW)
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR.
- Current driver's licence & access to a registered vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
