About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Practitioner to join our growing team at the Branch-Out Wellness Clinic in Townsville, Queensland. In this contract role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate medical care to our diverse patient population. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission of promoting holistic wellbeing within the community.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with patients, drawing on your expertise in general practice
• Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care to ensure the best possible health outcomes
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our clinic's services and procedures
• Work closely with our allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care
• Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in general practice

What we're looking for

• A medical degree and current registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Authorised Prescriber of Medical Cannabis
• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a community-based practice
• Excellent clinical skills and a patient-centred approach to care
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in general practice
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
