About Unburden Psychology
Unburden Psychology is a small, busy psychology practice in Graceville, committed to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. We are seeking a highly experienced, professional receptionist to provide seamless leave cover over the December–January period.
This is a short-term, high-responsibility role — ideal for a Level 4 medical, psychology, or health receptionist who values precision, warmth, and team support.
The Role
You will be the sole front-of-house leader at our Graceville clinic during team leave, ensuring uninterrupted client care and operational excellence.
- Work entirely onsite in Graceville (no travel required).
- Manage all reception and administrative functions independently during peak holiday periods.
- Uphold our strong, friendly, and supportive culture: a key team member in preventing psychologist isolation.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients with warmth and discretion; manage bookings, payments, and inquiries (phone/email/in-person).
- Maintain secure client records and coordinate psychologist schedules.
- Run the front office independently (opening/closing, crisis de-escalation support).
- Foster a connected team culture — friendly check-ins, thoughtful coordination, supporting psychologists and clients alike.
- Use software (Halaxy and Google Workplace) with accuracy.
- Comply with AHPRA guidelines, privacy laws, and OH&S standards.
Special Condition:
The clinic will be closed from 25 December 2025 to 1 January 2026. You will be fully paid for this week with only 4-hour days required on the non-public holiday days, and the option of working from home during this week.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 4+ years as a professional receptionist in medical, psychology, or health settings (Level 4 equivalent under Health Professionals Award).
- Skills: Proficient in psychology software; excellent communication, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Experience with Halaxy practice management software is preferred for this role.
- Attributes: Helpful, friendly, diligent, and empathetic, genuinely committed to supporting clients and team members with care and reliability.
- Availability: Full 8 weeks (Dec–Jan), including half-days during closure.
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
What We Offer
- Pay: (above award rate) $1,250 per week plus 12% super
- Paid Clinic Closure: Full pay during Christmas–New Year week, with light duties only on non-public holiday days
