Experienced Café Chef – Breakfast & Lunch Focus

Kirra, QLD – Beachside Café | Full-Time or Part-Time

We're on the hunt for a passionate and reliable Café Chef to join our tight-knit kitchen team at Café All Sorts Kirra – a vibrant local favourite located just steps from the sand. If you thrive in fast-paced breakfast and lunch service, love working with fresh ingredients, and have a flair for presentation, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and execute high-volume breakfast and lunch service with consistency and speed.
  • Prepare and plate a range of menu items – from eggs benedict and loaded toasties to banh mi, burgers, and vibrant salads including western and asian cuisines.
  • Follow set recipes while contributing to weekly specials and seasonal updates.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest level.
  • Manage prep, stock rotation, ordering, and wastage minimisation.
  • Work closely with front-of-house for smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

You'll Need:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar café or short-order kitchen.
  • Strong skills in breakfast-style cooking: poaching, pan-frying, grill, eggs mastery, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure, especially during peak morning and lunchtime rush.
  • Confidence working solo or as part of a small team.
  • A great attitude, solid work ethic, and pride in presentation and consistency.
  • Food Safety Certificate (essential), and chef trade qualifications (preferred but not required).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
