About the role

MSS Security is looking for an experienced Control Room Operator to join our Security Operations Centre team at a leading banking precinct in Brisbane's CBD. This role offers the chance to work with advanced technology, supporting essential infrastructure and a large security team across several key sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure continuous surveillance and early detection of security risks.

• Respond swiftly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating appropriately.

• Liaise with emergency services to coordinate incident responses.

• Conduct regular testing and maintenance of security systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Compile detailed reports and ensure compliance with site-specific security protocols.

• Maintain clear and professional communication across all channels.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• CCTV experience is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated experience in a security control room and frontline security operations.

Requirements

• Full Australian working rights.

• Availability for a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.

• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.

• Valid Queensland Security Licence with control room endorsement.

• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain.

• Valid First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

• Full Queensland Driver Licence
