Senior Control Systems Engineer

Are you passionate about automation and eager to contribute to capital projects? We're seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a crucial role in delivering automation work packages across various capital projects.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field
  • Hands on approach is critical to this role
  • Critical thinking skills with an ability to solve technical issues
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a control systems role in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive skills and experience in Industrial Control and Automation (SCADA/DCS and PLC) including IT/OT networking and variable speed drives,
  • Ability to troubleshoot Palletiser and various Packaging machines.
  • Ability to understand electrical wiring, switchboard/ control panel design and P&ID drawing.
  • Relevant PLC Programming Experience (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens)
  • Relevant SCADA Programming Experience (e.g. Citect, FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX)
  • Experience integrating legacy control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IEC 61508, and/or IEC 61511 is a plus.
  • Knowledge of machine safety systems would be an advantage.
